The Muğla School of Health, founded in 1996, started educational process in 1997-1998 academic educational period with Nursing Division. The school was later (2015) renamed as Faculty of Health Sciences and currently offers five degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science in Health Management.
Department of Language and Speech Therapy was found in 2020 and was added among other divisions for bachelor degree.
As a functional member of the national health team and aware of its duties and responsibilities in vocational training, practice, and administration within the health sector, the Faculty of Health Sciences aims to education qualified professionals who have the ability to think scientifically and analytically with a contemporary and humanistic attitude. The school hosts over 2000 students and 62 academic staff and is located in University campus, close to the hospitals where students may conveniently complete their internships. Graduates can work in public institutions, private hospitals and clinics, and related health facilities or pursue an academic career in health sciences.
Postgraduate education for MSc and PhD programs is conducted in departments of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Health Management.
